New Employee Integration Reports
Once the hiring decision has been made, the process of integrating the new hire into the organization begins. Many organizations hold orientation sessions for new hires in which they learn about the organization’s policies and procedures. The new hire is then usually introduced to his / her colleagues and they start to familiarize themselves with their duties and responsibilities.
Studies have shown that it can take up to six months for new hires to become effective in their positions. One of the reasons for this is that it may take this long to build trusting relationships with others in the organization. Some companies are turning to Employee Integration Assessment Reports to accelerate this process. The Integration Report provides the new hire and his / her manager with a snapshot of how the new hire is likely to interact with team members and other key people in the organization. This helps the new hire to quickly get to know his / her peers, subordinates, and managers. The Employee Integration Report also provides information about the strengths and development needs of the new hire, and this information can form the basis of an employee development plan.
To produce the Employee Integration Assessment Report, team members and other organizational members complete an online profile questionnaire and this is stored in our database for future reference. This information can also be used for other purposes such as team building and training and development.
