We are delighted to announce our partnership with Maurits Winkel of MDP Marine Surveyors and Consultants, based in Curacao.

Curacao is by far the most important location for ship repair work within the Caribbean region. Maurits has strong and positive relationships with the drydock, port authorities and other local resources. He is well placed to attend vessels in other Caribbean ports and his addition to our survey team substantially enhances IMC’s capabilities in this region.

Maurits is a highly experienced marine engineer with over twelve years’ experience in shipbuilding, ship repair & conversion and marine operations. He has served as Project Manager for fleet renewal and expansion projects and Superintendent for multiple ship repair projects. Maurits has overseen the successful completion of multiple towing operations, marine transport projects, civil and offshore construction projects, heavy lifting and load-out operations. He served as Operations Manager for a fleet of harbor and offshore towing tugs.

Maurits earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Naval Architecture at Inholland University, Delft, The Netherlands as well as Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Management (BEng) at University of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
