IMC'S COVID-19 Message
Everyone is now painfully aware of the impact of COVID-19 worldwide and the resulting disruption to our lives and our businesses. We want to let our clients, colleagues, and friends know that we remain fully operational and are taking the necessary precautions by following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines when attending vessels to protect our surveyors and our clients.
Despite the uncertainty of international and local travel restrictions, IMC remain well positioned to provide service in most ports around North America, Central-America, and the Caribbean due to our extensive network of exclusive surveyors and sub-agents. We are also prepared to carry out “remote” or “desktop” surveys where attendance is not possible by means of dialogue with, and obtaining the appropriate information from, the vessel and owners.
Due to the current restrictions imposed by the US government, most of our international clients owning or managing vessels are unable to send technical superintendents to the USA to attend and coordinate repairs. Our highly experienced team of marine engineer surveyors, strategically located in key port areas around the country and very familiar with ship repair, drydocks, repair contractors, lay berth facilities, etc. can provide valuable support services in this regard.
Our regular communication channels, including mobile phones, emails and landlines, remain unaffected and our main telephone number is always staffed. Please contact +1 203 256 1000 or email firstname.lastname@example.org should immediate assistance be needed.
We have also written about recent United States Coast Guard guidelines issued in response to the global pandemic. Additionally, we have aggregated other important COVID-19 advice and guidelines from important maritime authorities and companies which will be updated periodically.

Please take care and stay safe in these challenging times.
